Are you a single mom needing free braces for teeth?

Last Updated:

Not all insurance companies reject coverage!

First of all, be informed that not all the insurance companies refuse to cover the cost of the braces. Some companies agree to cover at least a small part of the cost. Hence, you must get in touch with your insurance company and ask if they can cover it. In case you get told they never cover such costs for anyone, all you will lose is a few minutes of your time.

As for the free braces for single moms, there is a way to get it for free or at least at a very affordable price. All you need to do is go to a nearby dental school and get braces. The procedure will, of course, be performed by supervised students, and that might sound like a drawback for some but the truth is that a lot of positive feedback can be found in the Internet praising the orthodontic care obtained in such places. Since the supervision is done by experienced orthodontists at schools, you can rest assured that your teeth is being cared for in the best possible way.

But why doesn’t my dental insurance cover the total cost?:

The insurance companies regard the braces as a cosmetic work done on your teeth and refuse to cover the costs involved with the procedure. If you want to stick with getting the work done through a professional and not a student over at dental school, make sure to look into the payment plans at various doctor’s offices. Maybe one of those plans might perfectly fit your monthly budget and assist you in getting the braces without delays.  In case you are worried about having to pay interest, note that many of these payment plans will have 0% interest as well.
